Synopsis
The Loss of Innocence
The action of a controversial novel "Lolita", of the famous Russian writer Vladimir Nabokov, reset to present day Russia. A mother and her daughter are running short of money and are thankful that they could rent a room to a writer. The mother is lonely and the daughter is coming of age. The mother immediately gets in love with him, which causing to the daughter a terrible jealousy. And then the daughter chooses the most unfailing weapon - she tries to discourage him from her mother. She tries to get his attention by parading around without panties, asking his help with her shower, and rubbing up against him and flashing him whenever her mother is not looking. She is even trying to convince her mom, that since she is becoming a woman, that he should teach her some of the finer points of love. Could the grown man resist the charms of a 14 year-old nymphet?

I think I watched the wrong Lolita

Not for all tastes and don't expect a literary adaptation. However, Valeria Nemchenko is probably closer to Nabokov's intention than either of the Hollywoodized versions could achieve. She's certainly got the playful temptress thing down. With minimal sets and an outhouse scene, this trailer trash softcore re-imagining delivers on its lust filled premise. And yes, I enjoyed the revised "happier" ending.

Nabokov is turning in his grave!
This is blasphemy to the great novel and one of the very worst movies I have ever seen. There is too little plot and too much sex for a mainstream movie, but too little sex and too much talking for a p*rn. The story is at average p*rn level, sex is lousy, and directing, acting and camera are terrible. The movie has no quality at all. On the one hand, there is no artistic quality, and on the other, you cannot even jerk off while watching it. Throughout the whole thing, I was thinking about Nabokov turning in his grave, but after the last scene, I think I died and started to turn in my own. I would give it a zero if it was possible, but unfortunately, I have to satisfy with

my recently viewed was looking a little too respectable so i watched this with subs that translated maybe half the dialogue. vladimir sorokin spends every scene of this looking like he's thinking about what to eat for dinner or maybe the book on world war ii he wants to read. just the most useless sunday afternoon dad energy. not rating this but if i did the ending would get a star in and of itself
